Club 78 / ALES Contest January 26, 2013
The forecasted weather had a 40% chance of rain but the pilots of VVRCF came out to fly anyway. There were four entries in the Club 78 class and three in the new ALES event. Once again, Rick Pearson (nomotor)lead both events.
The scores are shown as follows; T1 is the actual time flown in the 2 minute round, S1 is the RAW score for the time and landing achieved by the pilot in a the 2 minute round and L1 is the landing score for the 2 minute round.
The scoring works like this; Every flight by a particular flyer has the potential of 1050 points...1000 points for a perfect time and 50 points for a 100 landing.
After totaling the scores for all three rounds, for a particular flyer, the total is then normalized against the scores of the other flyers, with the highest total getting 1000 points.
