Club 78 Glider Contest at Victor Valley R/C Park!
Hey guys....This coming Saturday (the 26th), we are holding our monthly Club-78. No awards & no entry fee, just bragging rights. This is something we do every month and keep a running tally of points all year. It is basically a 2 meter Woody class competition with most all of us flying rudder and elevator only (no spoiler no flaps and no ailerons). Times are usually 2, 3 and 5 minutes in Club-78. If the air is really good we might add a longer duration round (RARE).
We are also entertaining the idea of expanding the event to include an unlimited woody class. If there is a small turnout of Woody's with spans greater than 2-meters, we might just let them fly in the same group with the 2-meters regardless of how they are configured.
We also are looking to have an informal ALES friendly meet of Foam types and Unlimited types. The emphasis on all of this is FUN!
We will have a woody class winch and retriever on the field and a landing tape. We will also have a Hi-Start on the field for those who wish to use it.
Come on out and enjoy our open field and friendly competition. The main field will be open for powered aircraft.
