A note from the Secretary and Treasurer:    by The Atkins
Wow, another month is gone, the children are back in school and the days are getting shorter. Hopefully the weather will be getting cooler and we will see more people at the Ranch for longer periods of time.

In addition to the above, September is the last month of our fiscal year. If you have paid partial payment on your dues and initiation fee you need to get the balance paid by the end of this month. We have sent statements out to those who still have a balance due to remind them that this is mandatory.
The next item we would like to mention, that is happening in September, is the election of new officers. We have mailed out ballots for those of you who know you will not be able to attend the meeting. Be sure to get the ballot back to us by September 16th if you would like your vote to count. Also, you must be a member paid in full for this last year to be able to vote. If you do not get a ballot in the mail, please give us a call and we will make arrangements to get you one.
It has been called to our attention, recently, that there are some flying site rules and some club by-laws that need to be changed. It is great that the club members are concerned about the governing of the club, however, the place to discuss these matters are at the monthly club meeting, not at the field, unless it is an absolute safety risk. If there is a safety emergency that needs to be addressed immediately at the field it should be taken to the safety officer, the president or the vice president. Please remember that the officers are paying members just like the rest of the members and deserve to enjoy themselves when they show up at the field on the weekends. We have already addressed many of the club by-laws that need to be changed in the by-law meeting we had August 23rd. The minutes to this meeting will be available at the September 16th meeting for all club members to review and vote on.
There are still Medium, Large and X-large T-shirts available and we have started to sell water at the field for $1.00 a bottle. If you are interested in either of these items they will be available at the field Saturdays and Sundays (Fridays upon request).
We would like to thank Jonicho Graphics, Hobby People and Hobby Club USA for their continued support and contributions.
