Notes from the President        I would like to start by thanking everyone for his or her participation in the first annual cook out.  It was a total success and I believe enjoyed by all.  Since the flying season is now in full swing I would like to make a pitch for precision flying.  I know most of us enjoy boring holes in the sky but there are some of us that enjoy precision aerobatics.  To this, I would to address the members.  There are several levels of precision flying that are recognized by the AMA, among these are the novice, intermediate and advance.  There are several benefits to this type of flying among them are improved flying skills, the challenge and the satisfaction of accomplishing the maneuvers as outlined by the AMA flight manual.  I am including the novice pattern sequence in this copy of the newsletter for those that might be interested.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me.  Keep Your Landings on the Level The Pres.

A note from the Secretary and Treasurer:
The wind has stopped for a little bit. The weather has been perfect for flying. Even on Mothers day the die hard flyers could not resist taking time to fly.
We would like to express our appreciation to all who contributed to making the
Bar-B-Que on April 19th a success. Thank you to Jaime for the hard work put forth in coordinating it. We were pleased with the number of new faces we encountered, and had several people interested in learning about who we are and what we do. We have seen the curiosity carry over to additional weekends.
